L. Edward Brown

Eddie Brown is a retired pastor living in mid-Missouri after serving three churches in the Plains and the Midwest over a period of 38 years. Eddie grew up in Brandon, Mississippi. While in college and working with Youth for Christ in Jackson, he met his future wife, Wesley Heard. They have three children and nine grandchildren. At Mississippi College Eddie studied English Literature and Philosophy. He majored in Old Testament and Semitics at Dallas Theological Seminary and received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Covenant Theological Seminary. In retirement Eddie enjoys speaking in area churches and pursuing his hobbies of reading, writing, mowing, cutting firewood for their wood stove, and chauffeuring around the only three grandchildren who live nearby. He and Wes live on a hobby farm known as Brown Acres, and you can meet their six collies on Facebook via Brown Acres Collies. In high school Eddie played on a state championship basketball team, and while he did not get a lot of playing time, he received the Sportsmanship award his senior year.
