Dr. Mark Bailey interviews Dr. Donald Campbell, the seminary's third President, and Dr. Dwight Pentecost, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Bible Exposition.
About the Contributors
Donald K. Campbell
Donald K. Campbell (ThM, 1951; ThD, 1953) demonstrated his qualification to serve as president of DTS by his excellent teaching skill in Bible Exposition and by serving for many years as academic dean and Dr. Walvoord’s assistant. Dr. Campbell also served as a pastor and as a Bible conference speaker for several years. He authored and edited seven books and numerous journal and magazine articles. He served as the third president of DTS from 1986 to 1994.
J. Dwight Pentecost
Dr. J. Dwight Pentecost taught for 58 years at Dallas Theological Seminary. “Dr. P,” as he was affectionately known on the DTS campus, began his time at the seminary in 1937 as the one hundredth student at the then twelve-year-old school. From 1958 through 1973, Dr. P served concurrently as a DTS professor and senior pastor of Grace Bible Church in North Dallas. As he completed his doctorate in theology, the seminary’s president at the time, Dr. John F. Walvoord, invited Dr. P to join the DTS faculty, where he served until his death.
Mark L. Bailey
Dr. Bailey assumed the role of DTS Chancellor after serving for 19 years as the Seminary’s fifth President, and continues his role as Sr. Professor in the Bible Exposition department. In addition to his years at Dallas Theological Seminary, he has pastored various churches in Arizona and Texas. He was a seminar instructor for Walk Thru the Bible Ministries for twenty years and is in demand for Bible conferences and other preaching engagements all over the country and world. His overseas ministries have included Venezuela, Argentina, Hungary, and China. He is also a regular tour leader in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, and Rome. His board service includes Bible Study Fellowship, Walk Thru the Bible Ministries, and Word of Life.
