Find out about your talents strengths
Free to Kindred Spirit Readers

Maybe you already give of your material resources but what about your talents? Do you even know what your strengths are?

For a limited time, as a reader of Kindred Spirit, you are invited to take a free online strengths assessment that measures 384 behavioral characteristics. This assessment normally costs $26.95, but if you take it before August 1, it's absolutely free.

The assessment is available thanks to one of our graduates, Dr. John Trent (ThM, 1978), in conjunction with his new book, Leading from Your Strengths: Building Close-Knit Ministry Teams.

To take the "Leading from Your Strengths Assessment," go to Insights International [Please note: this link will take you away from Dallas Seminary's website. We are not able to provide technical support]. This will prompt you to provide a special-offer code. Type "Dallas" and submit. You will be guided through an eight- to ten-minute online questionnaire. On completion, the screen will display your twenty-eight-page strengths assessment.

AWARDS
Thank You, Lord!

Reaching around the Globe
The Bible Knowledge Commentary, written by current and former Dallas Seminary professors, has now appeared in Chinese, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Korean, Russian, and Spanish. Also a few portions are in Hindi and Thai, and a DTS student from Sri Lanka is presently translating a portion of it into Sinhalese.

Dallas Seminary Now Offers Online Education

Whether you're in Minsk, Milan, or Minneapolis—you can now study at Dallas Seminary without ever leaving home. How? Through our award-winning online program. Continue serving where you live while DTS equips you to handle the Bible.

How does online education differ from traditional classroom education?
All of the elements necessary for truly life-changing theological education are present in our online format: instruction from world-class faculty, challenging assignments, and a strong community experience. In online education each of these traditional activities has an appropriate online counterpart. Instead of the traditional classroom format, online students watch weekly video clips. Students submit papers electronically and receive feedback and grades online. Instead of talking with fellow students on campus before and after class, online students participate in online class discussions.

What classes are offered?
Dallas Seminary recently launched five courses online:

BE101 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics with Dr. Mark Bailey
BE510 The Life of Christ on Earth with Dr. J. Dwight Pentecost
CL205 Dynamics of Leadership with Dr. Howard Hendricks
ID101  Intertestamental History with Dr. John Grassmick
WM101 Introduction to World Missions with Dr. Mark Young

We are developing additional classes for future semesters. The program is designed for students to take courses for credit toward a degree program before making the commitment to move to a campus location to take remaining courses. While students cannot complete a full degree program online, we are developing courses that will lead to the completion of the Certificate of Graduate Studies through online study only.

Is enrollment limited for online courses?
Yes, and it's available primarily to students who are unable to attend classes in Dallas or at one of the DTS extension campuses. Before registering for an online class at DTS, an applicant must be accepted under normal admission requirements. These include having a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Tuition for online classes is the same as for any other master's-level course taken at Dallas Seminary.

What are the computer hardware requirements?
Windows/PC users need at least Windows 98 with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Windows Media Player 9.

Mac users need at least OS10 with Internet Explorer 5.0 and Window Media Player 9. Mac and PC users can also use Mozilla Firefox (www.mozilla.org) instead of Internet Explorer. Students must also have access to a high-speed Internet connection to view streaming video segments.
