The final message of Senior Preaching week is delivered from Alaa Salloum. Today he shares from Joshua 24:14-24 and challenges us to remove all contemporary idols and sere the Lord.

Alaa Salloum

Alaa is married to his beautiful wife, Hiba. In Arabic, her name means “gift” and she is absolutely a gift from God to him! Alaa is from Syria, where his first steps were taken in ministry, teaching youth and then teaching and preaching to adults.  

Alaa began teaching last Fall at the Christian Alliance Institute of Theology in Beirut, Lebanon He also teaches the Old Testament to bachelor-level students. He is graduating this May with a ThM and will begin his PhD studies in Old Testament. His passion is to teach the Old Testament and to make it more accessible, more delightful to study and apply. He wants to lead people to a deeper love and commitment to God through appreciation of His revelation in the Old Testament.  

After DTS, Alaa and Hiba plan to return to the Middle East, where they will use all that the Lord has invested in them. Their vision is to help the Arabic-speaking community to have better training in understanding, applying and teaching God’s Word through both formal and informal theological education.
