Helping Those Who Are Hurting

Ginny Magliolo, a licensed professional counselor in Dallas, TX, encourages listeners to help hurting people by normalizing grief as a healthy reaction to loss and meeting people where they are on their own individual journeys toward healing.

Ginny Magliolo
Mrs. Ginny Magliolo is a Licensed Professional Counselor, earning her Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2001. She has a small private practice, primarily for adults, alongside her work with the military under a Department of Defense contract as a Military & Family Life Counselor. She counsels soldiers and their families, gives educational presentations, and makes assessments of soldiers returning from deployments, both stateside and overseas. Most of her counseling work is as a Critical Incident Special for a company called R3 Continuum. This company sends counselors into workplaces following disruptive events such as the death of an employee, natural disasters, and acts of mass violence, both in Texas as well as Las Vegas and Northern California. Her passion is working with people following crises with the objective of helping them return to full functioning and therefore, she does quite a bit of work with issues related to grief, loss and trauma. In addition to her degree in counseling from DTS, Ginny also has a degree in Economics from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas.
