Dr. Phil Humphries, associate professor of Educational Ministries and Leadership, and his wife, Kim, a licensed clinical social worker and counselor, discuss the lessons they are learning after losing their daughter to cancer.
About the Contributors
Kim Humphries is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice at Kim Humphries and Associates in Richardson. Phil and Kim have been married for 45 years and have two children (one in heaven) and five grandchildren.
Dr. Humphries majored in public administration in college and worked for 7 years as a tax auditor before God called him into full-time ministry. After earning his ThM in Christian Education from Dallas Seminary, he has worked as an associate pastor of church education at a church in Virginia, and as director of small group development and later executive pastor at Scofield Bible Church in Dallas. He is the founding pastor of Clearwater Community Church in Richardson, TX. He has over 30 years of experience in the areas of Christian education administration, and pastoral leadership. Dr. Humphries has a heart for both the congregant and the student. The great joys of his life are his wife, children, and grandchildren.
