Our Poverty in the Shadow of the Cross
Dr. Dick Druary, director of the Men's Development Center at Star of Hope Mission in Houston, TX, teaches that, before believers can appropriately serve the poor in the midst, our inner destitution must find its place in the richness of the cross in Jesus Christ.

Dick Druary
Dr. Dick Druary received his BA in Religion and Philosophy from Austin College in Sherman, TX. He also has a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Dick is an ordained Presbyterian pastor (Evangelical Presbyterian Church) and has served churches in Houston, TX., Orange, TX., Montgomery, AL., and Hollywood, CA. Dicks ministers at Star of Hope Mission, Houston, TX, starting as the Manager of Client Services before moving into the position of Senior Development Representative. He currently hold the position of Director of the Men’s Development Center. He has done ministry as a rapid response chaplain with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and at Belhaven College in Houston, TX, adjunct faculty for Bible and Worldview. He is married (blissfully) to Ann, the father of two adult daughters, and grandfather of Selah, Judah, and Zephaniah Palandro.
