Stanley Newton
Pastor Stanley Newton graduated from Dallas Seminary in 1996 with a ThM focused in Old Testament. He currently works at DTS Houston’s Director of Community Relations and Formation Ministries. Before moving to pastor in Houston, TX, he labored in small town churches in Washington state and North Carolina. His varied ministry experience includes chaplaincy work amongst first responders, leading a church planting network, mentoring elementary children, and multiple mission trips overseas. Before coming to Dallas Seminary as a student, Pastor Newton graduated from the US Naval Academy. Upon commissioning as an Ensign, he served proudly as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. Holding the rank of Commander, he has 26 years of combined active and reserve service. Pastor Newton and his wife, Carla, have three children: Victoria, Jonathan, and Caleb.
