Seven Signs of Unhealthy Ambition

Garrett Raburn, Awaken Conference Director at Watermark Community Church in Forth Worth, TX, highlights the strong tendency to self-elevate in ministry and encourages believers to actively trust the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts to manifest a selfless worldview in ministry and throughout life.

Garrett Raburn
Garrett was transformed by grace as a college student, and came out of school knowing Dallas Theological Seminary was the next step. He came to Dallas by faith the next month to start classes despite not having a job (which would come a few months later). He spent two years in youth ministry at First Baptist Allen followed by six years at Watermark Community Church with the young adults ministry called The Porch. He graduated from DTS in 2014 with his MACE. He is currently Watermark’s Awaken Conference Director, but he and his wife are aiming their hopes and prayers on moving to New York City during 2019 to start the church planting process.
