Carlos A. Zazueta

Dr. Zazueta placed his trust in Christ thirty-six years ago after hearing the gospel through Campus Crusade for Christ group (CRU) at his school in Culiacán, Sinaloa, México. While pursuing his education, he earned his ThM and DMin degrees from DTS and served as the founding pastor of Iglesia Baustista Casa de Poder in Garland, Texas (1999-2000) and Iglesia Stonebriar en Español in Frisco, Texas (2001-2018). Additionally, Dr. Zazueta served as pastor and the voice of Visión Para Vivir, the Spanish-language radio ministry of Insight for Living. His greatest passion is helping Spanish speakers all over the world learn how to love God in the language of their hearts. In 2019, Dr. Zazueta joined the faculty of DTS as an Adjunct Professor for Doctor of Ministry Studies. In 2020, Carlos was invited to join the full-time staff of Grace Bible Church-College Station, Texas as the Teaching Pastor for the new campus at Bryan Midtown, where he will provide strategic leadership and primary weekly teaching, as well as joining efforts with Grace Church in their incredible opportunity to plant multi-ethnic churches in Hispanic populations around Texas and beyond. He is married to Karla, and they have a son, Charles Asher.
