Nik Ripken

Dr. Nik Ripken and his wife, Ruth, are veterans on the mission field, serving with the International Mission Board (IMB) for over 30 years in Malawi, Transkei, South Africa, Kenya, Somalia, Germany, Ethiopia, and the Middle East. He is also the founder of Nik Ripen Ministries, which serves to expand the Kingdom of God by sharing truths and practices learned from believers in persecution. Dr. Ripken has a B.A. in Religion and History from Georgetown College, and a M.Div. and a D.Min from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of many articles on missions and, along with Ruth, has done extensive research among the persecuted in approximately 70 countries. He is the author of The Insanity of God: A True Story of Faith Resurrected and The Insanity of Obedience: Walking with Jesus in Tough Places. In cooperation with B&H Publishing, a curriculum based upon both books was developed in 2016. A documentary called “The Insanity of God” was released in 2016 and is based on his first book. Nik and Ruth are the parents of three sons and reside in Richmond, VA.
