Erwin Lutzer
Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer is Pastor Emeritus of The Moody Church in Chicago, where he served as Senior Pastor for 36 years, from 1980 to 2016. Born and raised near Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Dr. Lutzer holds a BTh from Winnipeg Bible College, a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary, an MA in philosophy from Loyola University, and an honorary Doctor of Laws from the Simon Greenleaf School of Law.
A respected Bible teacher and international conference speaker, Dr. Lutzer is the featured speaker on several radio programs, which are broadcast on more than 1,000 outlets worldwide. He is also the award-winning author of over twenty books, one of which received the Gold Medallion Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.
In his role as Pastor Emeritus, Dr. Lutzer continues to serve as a goodwill ambassador for The Moody Church, speaking at conferences and events across the U.S. and internationally, including in Russia, Germany, Scotland, and Japan. He and his wife, Rebecca-his coauthor on several books-live in the Chicago area and are the proud parents of three married children and grandparents to eight grandchildren.
