Marvin Walker
After earning a Master’s in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary, Pastor Marvin Walker planted Watermark Community Church in South Dallas, near the Texas State Fairgrounds, where he has served as lead pastor for the past four years.
Marvin’s journey, however, didn’t begin in ministry—it began on the football field. Just weeks before his NFL Pro Day, he heard the gospel, a moment that forever changed the course of his life. From football to faith to learning to live by grace, Marvin treasures his walk with Jesus and seeks to bring praise to the King who saved him.
In addition to his pastoral role at Watermark, Pastor Marvin is in his fourth season as team chaplain for the Dallas Mavericks, providing spiritual support and guidance to players and staff.
He and his wife, Amber, are the proud parents of three young children.
