Aubrey Malphurs and Keith Willhite Kregel Academic & Professional 2003-06-30

Weddings and funerals give pastors great opportunities for ministering to receptive hearts. Yet many pastors admit they need fresh ideas on how to make these events significant. Malphurs and the late Willhite, both professors at Dallas Seminary, have produced a useful resource for busy pastors. The first part of the book includes fresh ideas for wedding services, renewal of vows, and nine wedding messages. A variety of helps are included for wedding officiates, including a wedding planner, a rehearsal planning guide, prayers of dedication, and others. Part two presents ideas for funeral services, a number of funeral messages by various authors, and guidelines and message ideas for funerals for untimely or unexpected deaths. Part three includes ideas for communion services, baby dedications, ordination and installation services, and others. Here is a gold mine of resources for busy pastors.

Of interest is the fact that the very year the book was released, Keith Willhite went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2003.
