What Jesus Says about Earth’s Final Days

This is the eighth book written in the last few years by the pastor of Faith Bible Church, Edmond, Oklahoma, on prophetic topics. This book is an excellent though brief treatment of the Olivet Discourse, Jesus’ words about the end times in Matthew 24–25, written from the pretribulational, premillennial perspective. After discussing various views of the Olivet Discourse, Hitchcock devotes a chapter to each of these topics: the “birth pangs” of the end times, namely, the events in the first half of the seven-year Tribulation (Matt. 24:4–14); the abomination of desolation (v. 15); the Great Tribulation (v. 21); and the second coming of Christ (vv. 26–31). Two other chapters discuss (a) the question of whether the church will go through the Tribulation and (b) Jesus’ three parables in 24:45–25:30.
