She served on staff with the Baptist Student Ministry, working with college students at UT Dallas and Rice University, particularly focusing on discipleship and evangelism training. She will soon begin the Doctor of Ministry program at Houston Theological Seminary, focusing on Faith and Culture. She supports the local church by offering education in trauma-informed ministry and advocates for women. If given the shot, she’d be a stand-up comic. At home, she often finds her husband, Jesse, elbow-deep in a car engine, is amazed by the intricate drawings her daughter, Sydney, fills her sketchbooks with, and is regularly asking for tech help from her tech-savvy son, Brock.
