Reverend Christopher Simmons revitalizes “war-zone” community

Rev. Chris Simmons, a graduate of Dallas Theological Semianry, is making a difference in South Dallas. When Chris accepted the position as pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, he found a church that was surrounded by gang activities, drive-by shootings, drugs, and prostitution. Today, under his leadership, a former liquor store, crack house, and dilapidated apartment complex have been transformed into outreach ministry centers for those in need. But Chris is quick to point out the real need is a relationship with Jesus Christ.
