About the Contributors

Erez Soref

Erez Soref is the President of Israel College of the Bible. Born in Israel, Erez comes from a traditional Jewish family. He first heard the Good News of Messiah while backpacking in Europe after his military service, and became Messiah’s follower shortly thereafter. Erez holds a doctoral degree in psychology and advanced training in Bible and theology studies from Wheaton College.

Mark M. Yarbrough

Dr. Mark Yarbrough serves as the sixth President of Dallas Theological Seminary and is a professor of Bible Exposition. He has been in a variety of positions during his tenure at DTS: Research Assistant to the President, Executive Director of Information Technology, Associate Dean for External Education, Vice President for Communications, Academic Dean, and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

His love for the classroom draws him to the Bible Exposition department where he serves as Professor. Along with his responsibilities of leading DTS, he serves as an elder of Centerpoint Church in Mesquite and travels extensively leading tours and speaking at conference centers. Mark has recently authored Jonah: Beyond the Tale of a Whale and Tidings of Comfort and Joy. He has been married for thirty years to Jennifer, his high school sweetheart. They have four adult children, one son-in-law, and reside in Sunnyvale, Texas.

Mitch Glaser

Mitch comes from a traditional Jewish family in New York City. He attended Orthodox Hebrew school and was bar mitzvah at age 13. In his first year of college, Mitch hitchhiked across the country to California, where he met some Christians who told him Jesus was the Jewish Messiah. Mitch accepted Jesus in November of 1970, attended Bible school and seminary, and has been serving in Jewish missions since then.

Almost immediately after becoming a believer, Dr. Glaser became involved with what was then known as the West Coast branch of Chosen People Ministries (formerly known as the American Board of Missions to the Jews). This was the beginning of a forty-year ministry that has included working with Jews for Jesus and Ariel Ministries. Since 1997, Dr. Glaser has served as president of Chosen People Ministries—one of the oldest and largest Messianic missions in the United States.

Susan Perlman

Susan Perlman, a first-generation Jewish believer in Jesus from Brooklyn, New York is one of the founders of the organization, Jews for Jesus, which she has served with since 1973. She has a media background and has written evangelistic materials from apologetics articles to tracts to skits to blogs to messianic coloring books. She is the Chief Partnership Officer for Jews for Jesus, creating and expanding partnerships throughout the world. Susan also serves the global Christian community through her service with the Lausanne Movement and MissioNexus as well as Jewish-mission related boards. She is also on the Board of Regents here at DTS.  Most recently, Susan served as Study Notes Editor on the Chronological Life Application Study Bible published by Tyndale. Susan’s greatest love is to personally share the gospel with Jewish people one- on-one and with anyone else who needs to know Jesus. She resides in San Francisco and has spent her entire career as a happily single missionary.
