Rejecting the Passionate Pursuit of Perfection

Mrs. Dipa Hart, Assistant Director for Women in the Department of Spiritual Formation and Leadership, encourages believers to seek God’s perfecting work, rather than being perfect.

Dipa H. Hart
Dipa Hart currently serves as the Director of Ministry Formation at DTS. Since 2005, she has engaged students during their field education experiences. She has served as a hospital chaplain, DTS’s SF Women’s Director, and in leadership for the Association for Women in Ministry Professions and the Evangelical Field Educators Association. Her academic interests include ecclesial and organizational leadership, Christian spirituality, and intercultural engagement. In addition to her role at the seminary, she currently serves as the vice-chair for the Association of Theological Field Educators and as an Assistant Cubmaster for her son’s Cubscout pack. She’s finishing her dissertation on organizational transitions for a PhD in Organizational Leadership. Fall 2019 marks 20 years since Dipa started at DTS as a student herself and 15 years since graduating with her ThM degree.
