Amanda Banks

Dr. Amanda Banks is the Director of Southwest for Distance Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, where she helps guide students through their educational journeys. Her passion for coaching and mentoring is rooted in her own transition from California to Dallas to pursue her seminary studies, and she specializes in helping individuals discover and leverage their unique strengths through the lens of giftedness. 

With a focus on mentorship and discipleship, Amanda’s doctoral work at DTS has deepened her commitment to supporting students in their personal and academic growth. Her ability to connect with others has made her a key figure in DTS’s Distance Education department, where she tailors educational experiences to meet the diverse needs of students.  Amanda’s work has earned praise from her colleagues, who describe her as the “glue” between departments and a source of connection and support.
