Jerome Gay

Pastor Jerome Gay Jr., raised in Southeast Washington, DC, moved to Raleigh, NC in 1997 to attend Saint Augustine’s College, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Communications. He also holds a Master’s in Christian Studies and Ethics from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. As Lead Pastor of Teaching and Vision at Vision Church, Jerome is passionate about raising gospel-centered leaders in urban contexts. He’s the author of five books, including The Whitewashing of Christianity and Church Hurt. Jerome is married to Crystal Gay, and they have two children, Jamari and Jerome III. He also founded The Urban Perspective.
