Willie O. Peterson

Dr. Willie O. Peterson has served as a pastor of churches in Texas and Oregon beginning in 1965, until he retired in 2003.  He has served in various roles at Dallas Theological Seminary since 1986 including Adjunct Professor in Pastoral Ministries and the Doctor of Ministry Studies; assistant director for the Doctor of Ministry Studies at Dallas Seminary; for 14 years he was a member of the Denver Seminary’s Board of Trustees, serving one term as its chairman, and for eleven years he was vice president of Urban Evangelical Mission. He was a founding board member of the Mosaix Global Network. Willie’s Conference Speaking ministry has included parts of Africa, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia. In 2006, he conducted the spiritual life retreat at Garmisch, Germany, for all U.S. Military Chaplains and Chaplaincy staffs serving in Europe. He is a confidential advisor, coach and mentor to pastors, and leaders for Christian organizations and institutions. Dr. Peterson is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Covenant Church, serving currently as assistant to the superintendent for the MIDSOUTH Conference.  Willie and wife Anna Marie live in a suburb of Dallas.
